I love beading. I’ve done it since I was a kid – I think I was 10 or 11 when I got my first (and only) beading loom. Although now I frequently work with stretch cord when beading and couldn’t use a loom anyway, I sometimes wish I still had one. Maybe I will pick one up next year if business turns hot. Until then, I will keep doing what I’m doing, which is fairly infrequent beading (because this way, it takes quite a long time!) on pieces that I truly love.
This is definitely one of those pieces. I made this one a few months ago, but haven’t listed it until now – I’m not too attached to it, but it is quite lovely and I hope it goes to a good home. It is a 9″ stretch bracelet. The beads are a beautiful aqua colour, and the double-strands are braided. Connecting the two sides is a nostalgic little bird in a cage. It’s lovely all over. Here are some photos.
